By using fado.today, you accept the terms described below. They are short and written in plain language, because nobody deserves to read twenty pages of legalese.

What the site does — and what it doesn't

fado.today is an editorial site that recommends fado experiences in Lisbon. I don't sell tickets, I don't process bookings and I'm not a travel agent. When you click a booking link, you're redirected to the partner's site (Viator, or another intermediary) — from there, the transaction is between you and that partner.

This means:

• The booking conditions (cancellation, refund, date change) are set by the partner, not by me.
• If you have a problem with a booking, you should contact directly the partner you booked with.
• I can help you understand who to turn to, but I have no power to change, cancel or refund bookings.

Affiliate commissions

Some of the recommendations on this site generate affiliate commissions — that is, when you book through one of my links, the partner pays me a percentage. This commission does not change the price you pay. The amount you pay is exactly the same as you would pay booking directly.

The commissions help keep the site running. They do not influence the selection or the order of the recommendations. If a house pays a commission and isn't good, I don't recommend it. If a house is excellent and pays no commission, I recommend it all the same.

Accuracy of the information

I do my best to keep the information up to date — approximate prices, schedules, formats. But fado venues change. Prices rise, schedules shift, houses close temporarily. Always confirm the details directly with the house or the booking partner before you go.

I do not guarantee that the information on the site is correct, complete or up to date at all times. If you find something wrong, let me know — I'll fix it as fast as possible.

Content and opinion

Everything I write on this site reflects my personal opinion, based on my experience. I'm not a professional critic, I'm not certified by any body, and your experience may differ from mine. The recommendations are made in good faith, but do not constitute a guarantee of quality.

Intellectual property

The texts, original photographs and design of fado.today are my property. Don't copy or republish content without permission. If you want to quote or share, contact me.

Limitation of liability

fado.today is provided "as is". I am not liable for:

• Negative experiences at recommended houses.
• Errors or omissions in the published information.
• Problems with bookings processed by partners.
• Direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the site.

Links to third-party sites

The site contains links to third-party sites (booking partners, fado houses, Onofriana). I do not control those sites and am not liable for their content, privacy policies or practices.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be settled in the courts of the district of Lisbon.

Changes

I may change these terms at any time. The date at the top indicates the last update. Continued use of the site after a change implies acceptance of the new terms.
