What to expect from the night
You arrive, sit down, order your port — it's included in the ticket. The room fills up gradually. When the first fadista begins, the room falls silent: the rule of silence applies here as in any serious fado.
It's about 60 minutes, with fadistas alternating — male and female voices, always accompanied by the Portuguese guitar and the viola. The repertoire runs through the classics.
